Sundar Pichai, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Alphabet Inc. and its subsidiary Google, has warned people against blindly trusting Artificial Intelligence (AI), saying that AI models are prone to errors.
He said that while AI tools may be helpful in creative writing, people need to “learn to use these tools for what they’re good at, and not blindly trust everything they say.”

“This is why people also use Google Search, and we have other products that are more grounded in providing accurate information,” Pichai was quoted as saying by the BBC.
The Alphabet CEO added that while he takes pride in the work his company has put into providing information as accurately as possible, the current AI technology still has limitations.
“We take pride in the amount of work we put in to give users as accurate information as possible, but the current state-of-the-art AI technology is prone to some errors,” he told the broadcaster.
His remarks questioning the accuracy of AI models came ahead of the highly anticipated launch of Google’s consumer AI model, Gemini 3.0.
With this advanced AI model, Google aims to regain market share from ChatGPT.
Recently, the tech giant also began integrating Gemini with Google Search by introducing a new ‘AI mode’, with Pichai calling the move a “new phase of the AI platform shift.”
